Median weekly earnings of the nation's 114.9 million full-time wage and salary workers were $859 in the third quarter of 2017. Women had median weekly earnings of $767, or 81.9 percent of the $937 median for men.
Median weekly earnings for Black men working at full-time jobs were $744, or 77.1 percent of the median for White men ($965). The difference was less among women, as Black women's median earnings ($658) were 83.2 percent of those for White women ($791). Overall, median earnings of Hispanics or Latinos who worked full time ($655) were lower than those of Blacks ($696), Whites ($887), and Asians ($1,010).
